About Us
CoonAdo Maine Coons is a small TICA registered cattery in Missouri with European style Maine Coons, three of which I imported. All adults are tested for genetic diseases such as HCM, SMA, PKD, and PKD-def, and all are clear. My cats also have had a ProBNP heart snap test or OFA heart echocardiogram. They were also tested for Feline Coronavirus shedding repeatedly through Real PCR tests.
I have never produced a FIP or HCM kitten!
Occasionally, kittens are available, which are registered, vetted several times, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and received several health tests.
Kittens are lovingly raised underfoot in my home and living room.
Please see my Facebook page for most current updates, videos, and pics. We are also on Instagram!

Frequently asked questions.
Where are you located?
CoonAdo Maine Coons is located in central Missouri.
Do you sell cats or kittens as breeders?
Yes, breeding rights can be purchased for an additional fee.
Do you ship cargo or deliver?
No, I do not ship cargo. Buyers must come and pick up their kittens in Missouri, in person. On rare occasions, I am willing to deliver in person within a couple hour drive/100 miles for free. Beyond that, delivery by car is currently priced at .25/mile plus motel and food if required. Inquire for a quote if desired. I am also willing to meet partway.
Will my kitten be registered?
All Maine Coon kittens are registered with TICA.
How much do your kittens cost?
Kittens cost $ 2500 for pets and $5000 with breeding rights. This is all inclusive includes the cost of spay/neuter (if a pet), most vaccinations, vet checks, some health tests and microchipping. Occasionally, spayed adults are available at a much lower cost.
Will my kitten grow to be very large?
There is no way to promise your kitten will be very large. Males are almost always larger than girls though. Feeding your cat to obesity to make it large is not good for it and may lead to a shorter lifespan. Females are usually around 13-15 lbs, males are 20-28.
Is my kitten guaranteed to not get a genetic disease? Is there a health guarantee?
There are various conditions Maine Coons can develop. All my cats are dna tested before they are ever bred for HCM, PKD, SMA, PKD-def. All incoming cats are also tested for FCoV, and FIV/FeLV. They also have received a ProBNP heart snap test or heart echo. Kittens will be tested for FeLV /FIV, and parasites. There is no way to promise any Maine Coon kitten from any breeder will never develop one of these conditions. You kitten comes with a one year replacement or refund if it develops HCM, PKD, SMA, PKD-def, within the first three years. That being said, I am happy to say I have never had a ktten/cat develop any of these conditions!
Your kitten will come with a basic 72 hour health guarantee and also comes with 30 days of Free health insurance through Trupanion.
What is included when I buy a kitten?
A CoonAdo Maine Coon kitten that has received: at least three vet visits 3 times for exams and vaccinations, been spayed/neutered, microchipping, been tested for FeLV/FIV, been tested for parasites, and come with 30 days of free kitten health insurance (you must activate it), some kitten food that it is currently eating, and some toys and such. Also contract and an info packet to help with your new kitten.
When can I pick up my kitten?
Kittens will never go to their new homes until they are approx 14-16 weeks old to allow time for the spay/neuter and healing time. They will need to be picked up in person or by a courier here at my cattery in Missouri unless delivery is prearranged.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes, a contract must be signed, any balance due, and the kittens' free Trupanion insurance must be activated before you can take it home.
What if my kitten gets sick or dies before I pick it up?
If your kitten gets sick or dies before you pick it up, buyer will be notified and be offered a refund or a replacement kitten (when available). Buyers' choice.
What happens if my kitten gets sick on pick up day?
If your kitten shows any sign of sickness, it will not be released to go to its' new home until a vet determines it to be healthy. Please keep this in mind, it can happen, so buy refundable tickets etc. Sending a sick kitten to a new home will only cause the kittens further stress and likely make its illness worse.
Can I come visit your cattery?
My "cattery" is my home, so I say yes, cautiously. I do not want people rampaging through my house carrying germs from their pets and eyeballing my belongings. Anyone expecting to come through my home prior to purchase will be expected to provide i.d and be willing to disinfect to my satisfaction. Touching any of the cats or kittens will not be allowed.
